Councillor Karen Hyslop represents the Central Ward.
Cr Karen Hyslop has more than a decade of experience in local government, first elected to Northern Grampians Shire Council in 2012, re-elected in 2022 and again in 2024. A lifelong Stawell resident and former nurse and midwife, she brings compassion, practical insight and a deep understanding of rural communities to her leadership.
Cr Hyslop is committed to supporting local business, enhancing community wellbeing and advancing regional development. She is also committed to personal development, completing the Australian Institute of Company Directors course (2023) and Leadership Wimmera (2013), strengthening her governance, strategic and leadership capabilities.
