Elected: 27 October 2012
Cr Hyslop has a say. "I have worked and lived in Stawell for 40 years and have been your elected Councillor for five years with three remaining in this Council term. I have worked as a nurse and midwife at Stawell hospital and as a volunteer nurse in India. I am married to a local farmer Colin Hyslop where we reside in Stawell with our three children Kayla-Mae, Laura and Blake. I have been on Stawell Primary School Council for many years and in the last three years Stawell Primary School Council President. I have also over the past five years been a member of the Stawell Show committee as well as dedicating my time to Council committees and roles. I have thoroughly enjoyed my past five years as a local councillor, being the voice for my community, with the support of my family, friends, peers and the community. I am very passionate about our community and shire. We have such a lovely shire with so much to offer, a great variety of local shops, our wineries, lakes, the Grampians, beautiful heritage buildings, beautiful parks and gardens all on our doorstep to enjoy. Over the next few years I will continue to promote and nurture growth in our shire so that our shire remains a strong proud and vibrant community."
