Asset Management Plan

To ensure we realise full value from these assets, the council needs to effectively plan for, manage, and utilise them. Effective management of these assets requires the collection of appropriate information, including their value, cost to maintain and operate, condition, performance, risk and utilisation.

An Asset Plan contains information about maintenance, renewal, acquisition, expansion, upgrade, disposal and decommissioning in relation to each class of infrastructure asset under the control of the council over a period of at least the next 10 financial years.

Asset Plan Survey

One way in which Northern Grampians Shire Council delivers services to our community is through effective use of our assets. Council assets include roads, bridges, footpaths, drains, libraries, town halls, parks, recreational centres, and other community facilities.

An Asset Plan contains information about maintenance, renewal, acquisition, expansion, upgrade, disposal and decommissioning in relation to each class of infrastructure asset under the control of the council over a period of at least the next 10 financial years.

We will releasing a survey on this web page in April so we can understand more about what is important to you.

Community Engagement

Our community will be invited to information session in late April and engagement sessions in May to understand more about how Northern Grampians Shire Council uses this information to make decisions about their assets.

Our community information and engagement sessions will cover discussion regarding asset management decisions that include how and when to invest in new assets, as well as decisions about maintenance, replacement, upgrades, and disposals.

Further information will be available via this webpage in late March.
