#16daysofactivism

A global campaign, 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence activities ran from 25 November to 10 December 2020.

Normally on 25 November, councillors, NGSC staff, and community would band together for a march against family violence. However, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, we were not able to do that last year.

Instead, council commissioned Bev Isaac from Chalk Circle and Big Hill Art to create an interactive artwork in Stawell's main street so members of the community were still able to "walk against violence" in a COVIDsafe way and show their support for the #NGSC16days campaign.

The art work was on display at Shop 108 Main Street in Stawell until 17 December 2020.

In St Arnaud council commissioned Anne Molony who created the powerful piece Equality for Women to support the campaign.
