Six share in grants funding

Six community groups and individuals have shared in more than $2000 worth of funding thanks to the Northern Grampians Shire Council’s Community Grants program.
Among the six groups and individuals who received a slice of the combined $2??? Worth of grants funding were:
Carmel Loats - $500 minor grant to represent the Stawell Bowling Club as an official at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Stawell Swifts Football Netball Club - $500 minor grant to purchase protective helmets for junior footballers.
Grampians Food Alliance - $500 minor grant to assist with the upcoming Grampians Food Forum event.
St Arnaud Young Farmers Association - $500 minor grant to assist with the St Arnaud Harvest Festival
St Arnaud RSL - $1000 event grant to assist with the group’s centenary celebrations.
Absolutely 80s event - $250 minor grant to assist with event.
Northern Grampians Shire Council Mayor Cr Tony Driscoll said Council’s grants program was vital in order to provide support for a range of community groups and individuals.
“These are groups and individuals who are working hard to help us create a more livable and sustainable community for the Northern Grampians Shire, and we are proud to be standing alongside them and providing that support,” Cr Driscoll said.
“This group of grant recipients represent a diverse range of causes and organisations from right across our Shire, but all of them are focused upon delivering outcomes beneficial to the community.”
