Stay cool this summer thanks to NGSC pool parties

Stawell and St Arnaud locals will have the chance to cool off in style over the next few weeks thanks to the Northern Grampians Shire Council’s 2018 Pool Party series.

Kicking off this Friday with the Stawell 2018 Australia Day Pool Party, the parties will come at the height of summer, delivering some much-needed solace from the heat, while also providing plenty of family-focused fun, all free of charge.

St Arnaud will host its own pool party on Friday, 2 February as part of the lead-up to the town’s Harvest Festival.

The activities across the Pool Party series will include new aquatic inflatables, games and activities, live music and plenty of family-friendly games and activities, while the Australia Day party will also offer free temporary tattoos.

Northern Grampians Shire Council Mayor Cr Tony Driscoll said the pool parties offered local young people one last chance to unwind and beat the summer heat in a completely safe environment.

“Both our St Arnaud and Stawell aquatic facilities are fantastic community assets, and the NGSC Pool Parties are an ideal way of bringing the community together to enjoy them as we draw toward the end of what has been an extremely warm summer,” Cr Driscoll said.
