Northern Grampians Shire Council is offering businesses in the shire assistance with implementing and understanding mandatory COVIDSafe requirements. Additional council officers have been deployed to provide this service through the Business Concierge and Hospitality Support Program instigated by the Victorian Government.

The business concierge program will run until the end of November and is offering the following forms of assistance with Victorian Government COVIDSafe settings:

  • COVIDSafe plan implementation where none exists
  • Checking and recommended updates for businesses with an established COVIDSafe plan
  • QR Code Service implementation
  • Coronavirus sign and poster utilisation
  • Translated Coronavirus information (if required)

The concierges have been proactively reaching out to businesses in hospitality and retail sectors in the first instance, however all businesses needing support are encouraged to email business.support@ngshire.vic.gov.au or call 03 5358 8700.

With additional traffic flow due to school holidays and restrictions easing in large municipalities this week, council is reminding businesses to be actively operating under their COVIDSafe plan to ensure that ID checking is occurring as well as QR check-ins.

Northern Grampians Shire Council Mayor, Cr Murray Emerson said it was imperative for businesses to remain vigilant to keep the shire safe from Coronavirus outbreaks.

“I encourage all businesses in our shire to take full advantage of the assistance available through the business concierge program,” he said.

“We know that it does not take much for the Delta variant to spread and this is a timely opportunity for businesses to get some guidance on areas they may have overlooked in their COVIDSafe plan.”
