Stawell CBD set for revitalisation if granted final funding

Community members wishing to receive more information on the proposed Stawell CBD Revitalisation Project will be able to attend a drop-in session on Wednesday 18 July from 5.30pm-7pm in the Stawell Town Hall foyer.

The project, which is currently awaiting final funding approval, is centered around the streetscape of Main Street, Stawell, bringing it to life by improving the experience of shopping, dining and using services within the CBD precinct.

“The physical revitalisation of Main Street will enhance the retail experience for locals and visitors alike,” said Councillor Tony Driscoll, Mayor of Northern Grampians Shire Council.

By increasing the vibrancy of Main Street, it is anticipated that new investments, an increase in retail space occupancy rates and repeat visitation to the area will be by-products of the proposed revitalisation.

A community viewing post of plans for the project can also be found at Shop 108, Main Street, Stawell from Thursday 19 July to Friday 3 August.

Community members can stay informed on the progress of the proposed project by heading to www.ngshire.vic.gov.au/EngagiNG.
