NGSC receives grant to enhance St Arnaud Children’s Precinct

Children at the St Arnaud Children’s Precinct are set to have their outdoor play area enhanced after Northern Grampians Shire Council was awarded a grant by the Victorian State Government.

The grant will go towards improving the outdoor undercover area used by the kindergarten program at the Precinct by installing roll-up awning blinds.

The installation of the blinds will allow the children to be outside more often, giving them further protection from UV exposure in summer and the cold, wind and rain in winter.

Councillor Tony Driscoll, Mayor of Northern Grampians Shire Council said, “This grant is going to really enhance the experience for the young kids who attend the Children’s Precinct.”

“Protecting them from increased UV exposure is obviously incredibly important and these blinds are certainly going to provide that for us.”
