Council employees recognised for milestones

Direct Care Workers Sandra Watson (35 years), Jenny Anderson (25 years) and Team Leader St Arnaud Works, Hayden Harvey (25 years), have recently been recognised for their long term service to Northern Grampians Shire Council with presentations at the recent November and December Ordinary Council Meetings.

CEO of Northern Grampians Shire Council, Michael Bailey said, “It’s great to be able to recognise Sandra, Jenny and Hayden who have all given so much to not only our organisation but the communities they work in as well.”

“We’re very lucky to have had them over the journey.”

Direct Care Worker, Sandra Watson said, “I had 35 years and three months with council which I really enjoyed, the acknowledgement and support as the years went on has been good.”

“We’ve had to adjust to a lot over that time, but it’s a job you need to be passionate about, as we are often supporting families as well as the clients themselves.”

Direct Care Worker, Jenny Anderson said, “I’ve been here 25 years and it’s been a great job, especially working with the clients and staff.”

“Across the years there’s been great support.”
