Supported Playgroup

Supported Playgroup is a free weekly or fortnightly group session run by a professional facilitator who implements a fun and educational 1.5 - 2 hour session during the school term. 


Supported Playgroup gives parents and carers the opportunity to:

  • Learn about the links between children’s learning and development through play.

  • Support and extend family and child interactions through play.

  • Promote parenting confidence.

  • Meet other parents and benefit from mutual support and friendship networks.

  • Develop and build parenting skills.

  • Experience smalltalk – an evidence based program that enhances interactions between parent and child in the playgroup and home settings.

  • Learn about local services and community connections.

  • And most importantly....HAVE FUN!


During the playgroup session, children will:

  • Be exposed to a wide range of activities that will stimulate learning and imagination.

  • Have time to explore the natural environment.

  • Build social skills through interactions with and around others.

  • Develop skills and confidence in a positive and relaxed environment.

  • Have the opportunity to experience sensory and messy play.

  • And most importantly....HAVE FUN! 

Sessions include play, snack/fruit time, activities, sensory play as well as music and story time.

In-Home sessions are also offered as one hour visits once a fortnight.
