Business Assistance Scheme
The Northern Grampians Shire Council Business Assistance Scheme was established in 2008 to provide financial and in-kind assistance to businesses who have plans to grow or establish in the Northern Grampians.
In the 2016/17 financial year, Council granted more than $50,000 in financial assistance to the Northern Grampians Shire business community in addition to providing one-on-one in-kind assistance.
The Business Assistance Scheme aims to:
- Attract and assist new business to establish in the Northern Grampians Shire;
- Encourage and support existing business to undertake initiatives to expand, diversify and ensure sustainability;
- Facilitate collaboration between businesses and Council to achieve economic growth objectives in the Northern Grampians Shire;
- Facilitate collaboration between businesses and Council to capitalise on opportunities and address identified challenges specific to industry sectors and regionally in the Northern Grampians Shire.
Assistance provided is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
