Council meetings

There are two types of Council Meetings and all meetings are open to the public. Ordinary Council meetings are meetings that are not Special meetings.  Special Council meetings are meetings of Council convened and held in accordance with sections 84, 84A or 85 of the Local Government Act 1989.

Council agendas are normally available on this web page on the Monday before a Council meeting and confirmed minutes are posted in the week following the Council Meeting. The minutes of Council meetings are not confirmed as a true and correct record until the following Council meeting. Different arrangements may apply to Special Council meetings which are meetings called usually at short notice and not included in the Council Meeting schedule adopted.

If you would like a copy of the Public Agenda or a specific report please contact the Governance Unit on 5358 8700. To obtain a copy of Council Minutes previous to those listed on the website, or if you have any questions, please contact the Governance Unit on 5358 8700 or email ngshire@ngshire.vic.gov.au.
