Northern Grampians provides the perfect backdrop of spectacular scenery for the many events held all year round. From arts and cultural activities, markets, agricultural shows and the famous Stawell Easter Gift to car rallies, orchid shows and jazz festivals, you will find something of interest in the region.

Event Management Program

As a considerable amount of planning is required to run an event, Northern Grampians Shire Council has developed an Event Registration Form to help get you started. When completing this form, you will become aware of any Council requirements and submission of this form will enable event details to be added to the events calendar.

Event Assistance Program

The Northern Grampians Shire Council is committed to supporting existing events and to promoting the development of new events in the Shire. Every year Council sets aside a budget allocation for grants to support these events. This funding is allocated on the basis that the event meets the eligibility criteria found in the event assistance guidelines and an application form must be completed and submitted to Council offices.

If event assistance has been received through this program, an evaluation report must be completed and submitted to Council within six weeks after the event has been held.

Council Controlled Reserve Bookings

There are many great event venues available throughout the Northern Grampians Shire.

To book a Council owned/managed venue, an application will need to be completed and submitted to Council offices.
