Community groups now have the opportunity to promote upcoming events through new signage frames installed at the entrances to St Arnaud by Northern Grampians Shire Council.

The frames, funded by Regional Development Victoria’s (RDV) Local Council Drought Response Program, were suggested by members of the St Arnaud community through Council’s Big Budget Brainstorm on the OurSay platform.

Cr Merrilee Reid said Council was grateful for the support from RDV to install the signage frames.

“The drought response program has been a great initiative and really is supporting resilience and wellbeing in our communities,” Cr Reid said.

“We’re looking forward to seeing our community groups embrace this new initiative and having St Arnaud’s many great events better promoted to locals and tourists alike.”

Event organisers wishing to take advantage of the frames should contact Council’s Community Development Officer, Lisa Gillard, on 5358 8700 for more information.

All signage is at the cost of the event organiser and must meet specifications as set by Council. Interested parties must ensure they give sufficient lead time for their sign to be produced and displayed.
