The St. Arnaud Children’s Precinct has continued their run of excellent accreditation results, receiving a “high quality” rating across all seven accreditation quality areas in a recent audit by the National Childcare Accreditation Council.
The accreditation covered the areas of relationships with children, partnerships with families, planning and evaluation, children’s experiences and learning, protective care and safety, health, nutrition and wellbeing and managing to support quality.
With the accreditation decision, the NCAC congratulated the precinct on their efforts towards improvement, making particular mention of their efforts to encourage and appreciate family participation in the Centre, procedure for planning and documenting children’s learning to update and improve the Centre’s environment.
Northern Grampians Shire Council Manager Community Planning, Greg Little, congratulated all staff at the St. Arnaud Children’s Precinct for their continued dedication to the centre.
“The staff had a big involvement in the process and they all did an incredible job, proving professional and capable at all times”.
“Many of the staff were new to their positions at the time the accreditation was carried out. They were thrown in the deep end to an extent and they coped really well and certainly deserve congratulating”.
“I’d particularly like to thank and congratulate Jenny Douglas, the Childcare Coordinator at the centre. She has done an exceptional job of making sure the St. Arnaud Children’s Precinct continues to be a high quality centre that the whole Shire can be proud of”, Mr. Little said.
