Team Leader Stawell Sports and Aquatics Centre (SSAC)

As the Team Leader Stawell Sports & Aquatic Centre (SSAC) this position has the responsibility to oversee the successful operations of the Stawell Sports and Aquatics Centre (SSAC) and St Arnaud Swimming pool (seasonally) ensuring high quality and responsive sports and aquatic programs are delivered to the community in an environment that is family focused and maintained in a safe, aesthetically pleasing environment.

Selection criteria

  • A tertiary degree or diploma in Recreation, Sports Management, Exercise Physiology or relative discipline
  • Proven practical experience of the day-to-day operation of a sports and/or aquatic service, working with patrons and service providers.
  • Proven practical experience of supervising a sporting facility and associated employees.
  • Proven practical experience of delivering a sports and/or aquatic program in addition to sound administration experience
  • Fitness Australia registration (desirable)
  • Leisure competencies as listed in conditions of employment
  • Experience working within local Government would be advantageous.
  • Proven practical experience of the day-to-day operation of a sports and/or aquatic service, working with patrons and service providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to achieve specific and set objectives within the available resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to provide a high level of customer service.
