As the Aquatics Officer this position is responsible for ensuring that the aquatics programs run smoothly and effectively, that services meet membership needs and that all equipment is well maintained, safe, clean and operational.

Selection criteria

  • Qualification in Recreation or Sports Management
  • Proven practical experience in programming and delivering activities relevant to a multi-use indoor sports facility or aquatic centre
  • Fitness Australia registration (desirable)
  • Leisure competencies as listed in conditions of employment
  • Experience working within local Government would be advantageous.
  • Sound administration skills including booking procedures
  • proven experience in programming activities for a leisure facility
  • Proven ability to increase utilisation of programs and services in a leisure environment.
  • Sound knowledge of aquatics, sports and marketing these services
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve specific objectives in the most efficient way possible and within resources available
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work co-operatively and positively as a member of a team
