Australia Day Awards

Northern Grampians Shire likes to celebrate the achievements of seniors in the Shire annually at the Stawell and St Arnaud Australia day awards ceremony. If you know an outstanding Senior in our community who should be recognised for their achievements, please contact Petra Neilson on Ph: 5358 8700.

Victorian Senior of the Year Awards

Annually Northern Grampians Shire invites seniors who have made or are making a valuable contribution to the community in a voluntary capacity to attend the Victorian of the Year Awards Government House reception. This is usually the first event to kick off Seniors Week in Victoria.

Seniors Week

NGSC Aged & Disability team support and are involved in Seniors Week each year with a Seniors Festival held in October.

This year a seniors Expo for Seniors Careres and Families will be held in Stawell 12th October 2011 and St Arnaud 19th October 2011. These Expos show case the allied health services, community groups, clubs and businesses in the shire that are available to support people to remain active in their community.

This year Seniors Festival Victoria have provided the Victorian Police Pipe Band to perform in Stawell Tuesday 18th october and St Anruad Wednesday 19th October 2011. Entry will be free...and yes the Pipe band will open the Expo in St Arnaud

The Expo's are an initiative of the Northern Grampians Shire to celebrate Seniors week.
